Colour Compass™ is a 15-minute Jungian colour personality profile for work. It is built on Carl Jung's psychological types, the same theory behind every four-colour energies profile: your preference for the outer or inner world, and for deciding with your head or with your heart. Twenty-five short questions place you on a wheel of sixteen positions and show which of the four colour energies you reach for first: Bold, Radiant, Warm or Precise. Is this a test? Can I fail it?
No. There are no right answers and no score to pass. Colour Compass measures preference: the way you naturally like to work, decide and deal with people. No energy is better than another, and the report never grades you.
Is Colour Compass™ based on Carl Jung?
Yes. Colour Compass™ follows Carl Jung's Psychological Types (1921): whether your energy runs outward or inward (extraversion and introversion) and whether you decide with your head or your heart (thinking and feeling). Those two preferences combine into four colour energies. Bold is outward and head-led, Radiant is outward and heart-led, Warm is inward and heart-led, and Precise is inward and head-led. Your position on the wheel is the blend of all four, in your order.
How long does it take?
About 15 minutes for the questionnaire, then your written report and PDF are ready within a minute. Most people spend another 20 minutes reading the report and talking it through with the tutor.
What is in the report?
Fifteen pages in three chapters. Foundation covers your style, strengths, possible weaknesses, value to a team, how to communicate with you, blind spots and your opposite type. Management covers your ideal environment, how to manage and motivate you, and how you manage others. Personal achievement covers purpose, time, creativity and how you learn. Every section is written for your position on the wheel, and you can mark any sentence that does not fit.
How is this different from other Jungian colour profiles?
Same Jungian four-colour model, without a practitioner visit or a week's wait. Your report is generated the moment you finish, a tutor debriefs it with you on the spot, and your team can see everyone's position on one wheel. It is a fraction of the cost of a facilitated profile and you can retake it as you change.
Can I run it for my team?
Yes. Buy seats for your team (5 or more seats are discounted) and invite people by email. Everyone gets their own private profile. Those who opt in appear together on a team wheel that shows where the team leans and where the gaps are, which makes a great starting point for a team day.
Is my profile private?
Yes. Your profile belongs to you. Nobody else sees it unless you switch on a share link or opt in to your team's wheel, and you can switch either off, or delete the whole profile, at any time. Your manager sees only that you completed it.
Can I retake it?
Yes, 90 days after your last profile. Preferences shift slowly, so a retake shows what has genuinely changed rather than the mood of the day.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A certificate of completion showing your position on the wheel is issued when you finish the course, and you can add it to your LinkedIn profile.
Is it self-paced, and are there any prerequisites?
Yes. Every course is fully online and self-paced with lifetime access, so you can start anytime and learn at your own pace on any device. There are no prerequisites unless the course says otherwise.
