Emergency First Aid Awareness
Pivotal University
The accredited training academy of Pivotal. Practical, certified courses that take you from new star...
A thorough Emergency First Aid Awareness course that builds the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most. Ideal for appointed persons, new and refreshing workplace first aiders, parents and anyone who wants to know exactly what to do when seconds count.
Across eight in-depth modules you'll learn the role of the first aider and the law, how to assess an incident safely, the primary survey (DR ABC), CPR and the recovery position, choking, severe bleeding and shock, burns, fractures and head injuries, and how to recognise and respond to medical emergencies including stroke, heart attack, seizures, diabetic emergencies, asthma and anaphylaxis — each brought to life with clear, branded diagrams of DR ABC, adult CPR, the recovery position and the FAST stroke test.
Finish with a 31-question final assessment (80% to pass, unlimited attempts, every answer explained) and earn your Certificate of Completion.
Please note: this is an awareness course. It is excellent preparation and refresher knowledge, but where your workplace requires a regulated qualification such as Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), that must be completed in person with a practical assessment.
