A comprehensive Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace course. Built for employees, supervisors and managers in any industry — offices, warehouses, shops, factories, construction, care and hospitality — it is one of the most thorough and best-illustrated Level 2 courses available online.

Across nine in-depth modules you'll cover the full breadth of Level 2 health & safety topics: health and safety law and everyone's legal duties, risk assessment and the hierarchy of control, hazardous substances under COSHH, safe manual handling, display-screen work, fire and electrical safety, work equipment, PPE and safety signs, workplace welfare, and the management of accidents, first aid and occupational health — each brought to life with clear, branded diagrams of the hierarchy of control, the five steps of risk assessment, the fire triangle, extinguisher types and more.

Finish with a 33-question final assessment (80% to pass, unlimited attempts, every answer explained) and earn your Certificate of Completion.

On completion you'll earn a Certificate of Completion you can log towards your CPD. This course builds health & safety knowledge to a Level 2 standard; it is not an Ofqual/RQF-regulated qualification, and your workplace's own policies and any role-specific or in-person training requirements always apply on top.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the certificate valid and when should I refresh it?
The certificate does not carry a formal expiry date because it is a certificate of completion rather than a regulated qualification. Common practice is to refresh workplace health and safety training every one to three years, or sooner if your role, equipment or risks change.
Who is this course for?
It is built for employees, supervisors and managers in any industry, including offices, warehouses, shops, factories, construction, care and hospitality. It suits anyone needing a solid grounding in workplace health and safety duties and hazard control.
Is this Level 2 Health & Safety course accredited or recognised?
It is CPD-aligned awareness training with a certificate of completion, not a regulated or externally accredited qualification. It covers the full UK Level 2 Health & Safety syllabus and is suitable for induction, refresher and CPD evidence, but it does not award an Ofqual-regulated qualification.
How long does the course take?
There is around 11 hours and 42 minutes of content across 44 lessons. Because it is self-paced, you can work through it in one go or spread it over several sessions, and your progress is saved as you go.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete the modules and pass the final assessment (80% to pass, with unlimited attempts and every answer explained), you earn a Certificate of Completion. You can download it and add it to your CV or LinkedIn profile.
Is it self-paced, and are there any prerequisites?
Yes. Every course is fully online and self-paced with lifetime access, so you can start anytime and learn at your own pace on any device. There are no prerequisites unless the course says otherwise.
