A thorough Level 2 Manual Handling course for anyone whose work involves lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying — in warehousing, logistics, retail, construction, care, healthcare, hospitality and offices. Builds the theory, legal knowledge and safe-technique understanding to prevent musculoskeletal injury.

Across nine in-depth modules you'll learn the law (the Manual Handling Operations Regulations and the avoid-assess-reduce hierarchy), how handling injuries happen, how to assess a task with TILE and the HSE weight guidelines, safe lifting technique step by step, pushing, pulling and carrying, and how to choose and use handling aids — each brought to life with clear, branded diagrams.

Finish with a final assessment (80% to pass, unlimited attempts, every answer explained) and earn your Certificate of Completion.

Please note: this course builds the essential knowledge and understanding of safe manual handling. For roles that involve moving and handling people, a practical, in-person assessment of technique is also required to be fully competent.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this course for?
Anyone whose work involves lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying, including staff in warehousing, logistics, retail, construction, care, healthcare, hospitality and offices. It suits both new starters and refresher learners.
Is this Manual Handling course accredited or recognised?
It is CPD-aligned and certificated on completion, but it is not a regulated qualification and carries no external accreditation. It is awareness-level training that builds the essential knowledge of safe manual handling.
How long does the course take?
There is around 9 hours and 57 minutes of content across 43 lessons. Because it is self-paced, you can work through it in one go or spread it over several sessions, and your progress is saved as you go.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete the modules and pass the final assessment (80% to pass, with unlimited attempts and every answer explained), you earn a Certificate of Completion. You can download it and add it to your CV or LinkedIn profile.
