Level 2 Safeguarding (Children and Adults)
Pivotal University
The accredited training academy of Pivotal. Practical, certified courses that take you from new star...
A comprehensive Level 2 Safeguarding course covering both children and adults, for anyone who works with or comes into contact with children, young people or adults at risk — in any setting. Builds the knowledge and confidence to recognise, respond to, report and record safeguarding concerns.
Across ten in-depth modules you'll learn the legal framework (the Children Acts, Working Together to Safeguard Children, the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act), the types and signs of abuse for both children and adults, specific risks like the Prevent duty, FGM, modern slavery and county lines, how to respond safely to a disclosure, and exactly how the referral pathway works — each brought to life with clear, branded diagrams.
Finish with a final assessment (80% to pass, unlimited attempts, every answer explained) and earn your Certificate of Completion.
Please note: this is an awareness and CPD course. It is excellent foundational training, but Designated Safeguarding Leads and those in regulated roles require higher, role-specific and regularly refreshed training, and sector-specific guidance (such as Keeping Children Safe in Education) applies on top.
