A comprehensive Level 2 Safeguarding course covering both children and adults, for anyone who works with or comes into contact with children, young people or adults at risk — in any setting. Builds the knowledge and confidence to recognise, respond to, report and record safeguarding concerns.
Across ten in-depth modules you'll learn the legal framework (the Children Acts, Working Together to Safeguard Children, the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act), the types and signs of abuse for both children and adults, specific risks like the Prevent duty, FGM, modern slavery and county lines, how to respond safely to a disclosure, and exactly how the referral pathway works — each brought to life with clear, branded diagrams.
Finish with a final assessment (80% to pass, unlimited attempts, every answer explained) and earn your Certificate of Completion.
Please note: this is an awareness course. It is excellent foundational training, but Designated Safeguarding Leads and those in regulated roles require higher, role-specific and regularly refreshed training, and sector-specific guidance (such as Keeping Children Safe in Education) applies on top.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the certificate valid, and do I need to refresh it?
The certificate shows the date you completed the training and does not carry a fixed expiry. Safeguarding good practice is to refresh awareness training regularly, often every one to three years, and to follow your employer's own refresher policy.
Who is this course for?
It suits anyone who works with or comes into contact with children, young people or adults at risk in any setting, including education, health and social care, charities, sport and customer-facing roles. It covers both children and adults in one course.
Is this safeguarding course accredited or recognised?
It is CPD-aligned awareness training with a certificate on completion, not an externally accredited or regulated qualification. It is solid foundational training, but Designated Safeguarding Leads and regulated roles need higher, role-specific training and sector guidance such as Keeping Children Safe in Education.
How long does the course take?
There is around 12 hours and 5 minutes of content across 45 lessons. Because it is self-paced, you can work through it in one go or spread it over several sessions, and your progress is saved as you go.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete the modules and pass the final assessment (80% to pass, with unlimited attempts and every answer explained), you earn a Certificate of Completion. You can download it and add it to your CV or LinkedIn profile.
Is it self-paced, and are there any prerequisites?
Yes. Every course is fully online and self-paced with lifetime access, so you can start anytime and learn at your own pace on any device. There are no prerequisites unless the course says otherwise.
